China considers possibility of container trains traffic to Iran through Kazakh Aktau port on the Caspian Sea

China considers possibility of container trains traffic to Iran through Kazakh Aktau port on the Caspian Sea, the port said in a message Jan. 23.

This issue was discussed within the visit of delegation of Chinese Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, EISA Shipping Agencies Ltd international company and Kazakh Kedentransservice logistics company to the International Aktau port.
The delegation visited freight and ferry piers of the port.

Deputy Head of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of Chinese Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region noted that within the meeting they saw that port of Aktau meets their requirements.
The route through Aktau is currently being studied, he said.

The Aktau port’s terminals handle a broad range of dry cargoes, crude oil, petroleum products and ferry cargos.
