Azerbaijan’s Kapital Bank has been elected a member of the American Bankers Association (ABA), the bank’s website said Mar. 1.
On this occasion, Farid Huseynov, first deputy chairman of Kapital Bank, met with Tod Burwell, president and chief executive officer of the BAFT, an international financial services association which is a subsidiary of the ABA.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of important issues in the banking sector.
“Cooperation of Kapital Bank with an international organization of such level will make it possible to mutually exchange experience and knowledge with the association members,” Huseynov said in the meeting.
In particular, he said, the US experience in bank compliance is very important for Kapital Bank.
“We hope Kapital Bank, as an ABA member, will be able to successfully use the foreign colleagues’ experience in its financial activity.”
