Insurance premiums of Azerbaijan’s insurance companies totaled 150.68 million manats in January-March 2017 that is by one percent less than in the same period of 2016, said the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).
Twenty-one insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
FIMSA also said premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies totaled 133.37 million Azerbaijani manats in January-March 2017.
The figure accounts for 88.5 percent of all the insurance premiums collected during the period.

Pasha Insurance continues to lead the ranking in terms of the premiums collected during the period. The company’s share of the total collected premiums was 33 percent.
Pasha Life ranked the second in the list with 21.3 percent, being followed by Ateshgah Life, the share of which was 5.4 percent.
