Heads of customs services of the CIS member countries have approved the standard procedure for applying the risk management system in the activities of the customs services.

The document was approved within the framework of the 65th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member countries held in Baku June 14.

The document includes the main objectives, responsibilities, principles and elements of the risk management system, objects of risk analysis, risk minimization mechanisms, and the participation of customs services in the preparation of projects of risk indicators and profiles before and after the customs control.

In addition, a number of amendments to the agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs issues, on the procedure of customs clearance and customs control of goods among the CIS member countries, and on the procedure of transit through the territories of the CIS member countries were considered and approved within the framework of the meeting.

During the meeting, a new chairman and executive secretary of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member countries were also approved and a number of other issues were considered.

Heads and representatives of the customs services of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the meeting.

In conclusion, it was determined that the 66th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member countries will be held in the fourth quarter of this year in Kyrgyzstan.
