Russia’s MPharm eyes to take part in the construction of pharmaceutical plants in Azerbaijan, Evgeny Shmakov, the company’s technical director, told Trend July 26.

Shmakov says MPharm has not worked in Azerbaijan before, but the Azerbaijani market is of significant interest for the company.

MPharm is a part of the Pharmcontract group of companies, the biggest chemical and pharmaceutical holding in Russia. During its activity, the company has implemented over 150 projects in the pharmaceutical industry and microelectronics.

“For more than 12 years, we have been engaged in pharmaceutical engineering and management of projects for establishment of pharmaceutical facilities and laboratories,” said Shmakov.

“We are ready to share our great experience with Azerbaijan and inform about the mistakes that enterprises made in the Russian, Kazakh and Moldovan markets.”

Shmakov said MPharm is interested in any project to establish pharmaceutical facilities in the country.

“We have sufficient experience to implement the project in a short period of time, minimize its budget, and bring local and international audit into compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).”
