Pay-outs of Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies amounted to 114.36 million manats in January-June 2017, the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) reported.
The figure accounts for 91.9 percent of all the insurance pay-outs for the first half of 2017.

Ateshgah Life Insurance leads the ranking in terms of the pay-outs in January-June 2017. The company’s share of the total pay-outs was at 23 percent. Pay-outs of Ateshgah Life Insurance totaled 28.67 million manats in January-June 2017.
PASHA Life ranked the second in the list with 22.31 million manats (17.9 percent), being followed by PASHA Insurance – 19.99 million manats (16.1 percent).
In January-June 2017, all insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan collected 276.16 million manats in premiums, which is less by 3.2 percent than in the same period of 2016.
Pay-outs of the Azerbaijani insurance companies reached 124.4 million manats during the period, which is by 22.7 percent more than in January-June 2016.
Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
