Products worth 299.8 million manats were produced by metallurgical enterprises in Azerbaijan in January-July 2017, according to a report of the country’s State Statistical Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 9.4 percent while the production of finished goods fell by 30.8 percent in January-July 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
Azerbaijan produced 126,800 tons of fittings in January-July 2017, which is 8.1 percent less than in the same period of 2016.
In January-July 2017, some 34,500 tons of steel pipes were produced (4 percent more than in the same period of 2016).
The volume of steel casting stood at 319,200 tons in January-July 2017, which is 79.3 percent less than in the same period of 2016.
Azerbaijan exported 42,037.7 tons of ferrous metals worth $12,536.4 million in January-July 2017, which is by 0.1 percent (by 2.2 percent less in value terms) more than in January-July 2016.
