Azerbaijan receives $264M export orders

Azexport.az state portal, which contains information about the products manufactured in Azerbaijan, received export offers worth $264.3 million in January-July 2017, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the country said in a message.

The orders were received from 53 countries.

The portal has received export offers worth $71.6 million in July of 2017, which is 15.6 percent more than in June of 2017 ($62.3 million). Major part of the orders was received from Russia.

Russia also ranks first for the total volume of orders in the seven months of 2017. The country accounts for 19 percent of all offers. Ukraine (7.8 percent), Turkey (7.4 percent), the US (4.8 percent) and Saudi Arabia (4.8 percent) were in the top-5 for the volume of orders.

In July of 2017, the portal had received offers from Qatar, Tanzania and Ecuador for the first time.

Azexport.az state portal was created according to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s Sept. 21, 2016 order “On creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan.”

Mission of Azexport.az, managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information on products of Azerbaijani origin and to create a beneficial platform for their sale in the foreign and domestic markets.
