In September 2017, insurance companies of Azerbaijan issued 11,461 policies on compulsory real estate insurance, and the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 2.49 million manats ($1=1.7002 manats as of Oct. 3), Azerbaijan’s Compulsory Insurance Bureau said.
The number of contracts on this type of insurance decreased by 37 percent, and the volume of premiums increased by 112 percent in September 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
The message said that 9,463 policies accounted for housing and apartment insurance, 15 policies accounted for insurance of administrative buildings, and 1,983 policies accounted for insurance of other facilities.
There are 22 insurance companies in Azerbaijan.
