The production of paper products is increasing in Kazakhstan. More than half of the production (56 percent) is concentrated in Almaty.
In monetary terms, the production of paper products in the country reached 34,3 billion tenge for 8 months - by 23,7 percent more than in the same period of the previous year, the Energy Prom of Kazakhstan reported.
Astana is leading in the sector of paper production, with the 4,6 times growth of output volume (1,7 billion tenge).
The growth of production in Almaty region reached 9,4 percent per year, in Almaty city 35,3 percent per year.
Such big companies as Kagazy Recycling LLP, producing paper and cardboard containers and JSC Ilias Cardboard and Paper Mill function in the leading regions of Kazakhstan’s paper production.
Chinese entrepreneurs also plan to deal with the production of paper products in Kazakhstan.
In May, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Chinese CITIC Geyi Biorefineries Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum, providing the construction of a plant for integrated processing of straw in Kazakhstan.
