Turkmenistan’s parliament is preparing the country’s draft state budget for 2018, says a message from the Turkmen government.
The issue was discussed during the expanded meeting of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers.
The country’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the main financial document should be aimed at using the investments put in the development of economy, and ensuring fundamental reforms in all spheres.
The Turkmen parliament adopted a law on state budget in 2016, which forecasted that revenues will amount to 103,571.6 million Turkmen manats, while expenditures – 104,871.6 million manats.
The official exchange rate of Turkmen manat against US dollar has not changed since January 2015 (1 USD = 3.5 TMM).
Revenue part of the state budget is mainly formed thanks to as oil and gas, chemical, power and construction spheres.
