Investments in health industry increase in Kazakhstan

Kazakh businessmen invested 48 billion tenge in the capital stock of the healthcare and social services sector, during the 9 months of 2017, which is which is 16.2 percent more, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The largest volume of investments is concentrated in Almaty - 22.7 percent (10.9 billion tenge), and the adjacent areas 17.4 percent (8.3 billion tenge), Kazakh Energy Prom reported.

The Southern Kazakhstan region ranks second with 11.2 percent (5.4 billion tenge) of the country’s investments in health industry.

The total volume of investments of the Kazakh businessmen in the industry also grew up to 40.2 percent, which amounts to 19.3 billion tenge. This trend is facilitated by the development of public-private partnership mechanisms being actively used in healthcare sphere.

Generally, in the long-term dynamics, the current year interrupts the negative trend formed in the crisis period of 2015-2016, when the volume of investments was steadily decreasing.
