Kazakhstan to build agro-industrial park

Kazakhstan’s Kostanay Region started the construction of an agro-industrial park purposed to organize the transport and logistics infrastructure for processing, storage and sale of agricultural products.

“In order to improve the infrastructure for processing, storage and sale of agricultural products, we will start the construction of the Kostanay Agro-Industrial Park," said Darhan Abdikarimov, the head of the regional department of agriculture, Kazakh media outlets reported.

The officials of the region have already registered a land plot for the construction, completed the feasibility studies, and developed the design and budget documentation, according to Abdikarimov.

The total area of the park will be 7 hectares, with the main building occupying an area of 20,000 square meters. Storage facilities, refrigerators, production facilities and a laboratory will provide the temporary storage of products. The park will also include an office space and a fairground for 60 heavy vehicles.
