The consolidated profit of the Samruk Kazyna JSC amounted to 414 billion tenge during 10 months of 2017, increasing by 44 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, said Umirzak Shukeyev the Chairman of the Board of Samruk Kazyna.
He made the remarks at the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the press service of the Kazakh president said in a statement.
The Samruk Kazyna holding has also reduced the number of the member companies and optimizing the levels of enterprise management.
Shukeyev added that until the end of the current year the number of companies of the holding will be optimized, and the number of management levels will be reduced to 4.
Samruk Kazyna is a Kazakh sovereign wealth fund and joint stock company which owns, either in whole or in part, many important companies in the country, including the national rail and post services, the state oil and gas company KazMunaiGas, the state uranium company Kazatomprom, Air Astana, and many other companies. The main shareholder of the holding is the government of Kazakhstan.
