Products worth 622.6 million manats were produced by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-October 2017, said a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 13.1 percent while the production of finished goods fell by 16 percent in January-October 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
Azerbaijan produced 198,700 tons of fittings in January-October 2017, which is 1.7 percent less than in the same period of 2016.
In January-October 2017, 39,100 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 11 percent less than in the same period of 2016.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 327,500 tons in January-October 2017, which is 9.7 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
Azerbaijan exported 41,691.9 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $28.269 million in January-October 2017, which is by 6.2 percent (by 15.2 percent in money terms) less than in January-October 2016.
During the same period, Azerbaijan exported 74,227.2 tons of ferrous semi-finished products worth $22.587 million, which is by 31.3 percent (by 1.5 percent in money terms) less than in January-October 2016.
