The Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Uzbek Health Ministry has agreed on organizing the production of Korean medical products in Uzbekistan.
The agreement was reached as part of the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea, the press center covering the president's visit reported.
The Agency has reached an agreement with such leading Korean companies as, Dalim BioTech, Yuhan Corporation and Erae.
As part of the reached agreements, Korean companies will invest $ 25 million in foreign direct investment in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed on accelerating the implementation of investment projects. Particular attention is paid to the creation of 7 new pharmaceutical free economic zones in Uzbekistan.
Korean companies have voiced commitment to invest in Uzbekistan.
