Big logistics centers will be established in the regions of Uzbekistan with the aim of increasing exports of fruit and vegetable products.

Funds in an amount of up to $200 million of the Agency for restructuring of agricultural enterprises will be used for this purpose.

During a meeting held recently, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to develop in a ten-day period a program to establish big logistics centers.

In September-October 2017, Uzbekistan exported about 65,000 tons of products grown on re-seeding that is 1.4 times more than in the same period of 2016.

In general, fruit and vegetable products have been delivered to 54 countries since the beginning of the year, and Uzbek products reached new markets in such countries as Bangladesh, the Philippines, Syria, Taiwan, Jordan and Macedonia.
