The Iranian government has started cooperation in the field of IT with India, one of the world’s leaders in the field. This is surely a much needed step for Iran to materialize the great potentials it has in the field of IT.

ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, who traveled to New Delhi, said the two countries agreed to cooperate in the areas of software, cyber infrastructure safety, and electronic government.

Last year, government spokesman Mohammad Bagher Nobakht told Trend that IT is one of the fields in which Iran is looking forward to as a great propelling power for the country’s economy.

He said IT is put high on the Iranian government’s agenda for development and special care.

Iran enjoys a wealth of manpower in the field of IT, ready to be used in a systematic way to create one of the economy’s most robust sectors.

Recently, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the head of Tehran Bureau at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, told Trend in an exclusive interview that the Polish government recognizes Iran’s potential in IT and looks forward to connecting with Iran in this field.

“Iran has lots of mind power in the IT and ICT fields, which can provide interesting solutions... which could be used in Europe,” Kaczynski said, hoping that his country would provide a gateway for Iran’s IT expertise to find its way to Europe.
