Tashkent Agrarian Reserve Service is being created in Uzbekistan to provide the population of the capital city with the main types of agricultural and livestock products.

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On measures to further improve the system of guaranteed provision of the population of Tashkent with the main types of agricultural and livestock products" approved the creation of the state unitary enterprise "Toshkent agro zaxira xizmat" (Tashkent Agrarian Reserve Service).

Among the tasks to be solved by the Service, is timely delivery and sale of agricultural and livestock products to the people of Tashkent, ensuring the stability of prices in the domestic consumer market, as well as preventing their artificial overestimation in the winter and spring periods.

To produce a sufficient stock of production, the Service will be allocated land in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region: at least 10,000 hectares of land for agricultural activities; not less than 20,000 hectares for cattle-breeding activities.

Farms and business entities can take part in the work on these lands on the basis of tripartite agreements between the local district authority, the Tashkent Agrarian Reserve Service and business entities (farms).

The document came into force on Nov.25, 2017.
