A draft law, which envisages tax deduction for travel companies by the amount of their expenses for online booking and sale of tourism services, has been developed in Uzbekistan.
The draft law envisages making an addition to part two of Article 356 of the Tax Code of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the addition, taxes for tourism entities will be reduced by the amount of funds they spent on the introduction of software products and information systems for online booking and sale of tourism services.
Creation of the draft law was one of the results of tourism development’s discussion at a meeting held by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 6.
The envisaged changes are supposed to become effective January 1, 2018.
