In November 2017, insurance companies of Azerbaijan issued 11,335 policies on compulsory real estate insurance, and the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 3.4 million manats, Azerbaijan’s Compulsory Insurance Bureau said Dec. 1.
The number of contracts on this type of insurance decreased by 26 percent, and the volume of premiums increased by 58 percent in November 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
The message said that 8,038 policies accounted for housing and apartment insurance, 220 policies accounted for insurance of administrative buildings, and 3,077 policies accounted for insurance of other facilities.
During the reporting period, 426 insurance contracts on civil liability compulsory insurance related to operation of real estate were also concluded. The premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 28,770 manats.
There are 22 insurance companies in Azerbaijan.
