Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have set up a working group to study the prospects of transporting Kazakh energy resources through Azerbaijan, the country’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.
He was speaking at a briefing in Baku Dec. 7 following the 14th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Kazakh intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
He said that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan always cooperated in the energy sphere.
“Transportation of Kazakh energy resources through Azerbaijan is at the heart of this cooperation, and we are ready to consider this,” Shahbazov said. “Following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, a working group was established. The working group will conduct intensive work to study mutually beneficial prospects in this direction.”
