Prices for primary housing soar in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, the average cost of one square meter of new housing in November 2017 was 253,134 tenge, reads a report of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan.

The price increased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month and jumped up by 1.3 percent compared to December 2016.

The average cost of reselled one square meter of well-maintained housing in November was 185,716 tenge (one percent less than in the previous month and 1.6 percent - last December), ill-equipped housing - 114,496 tenge (0 and -0.8 percent respectively) .

The average cost of renting one square meter of well-maintained housing in Kazakhstan was 1,314 tenge last month.

Analysts say housing prices in new buildings will remain unchanged till the end of this year, and it is also possible that with a tendency to a slight increase, as the demand for primary housing is stable and supported by the further development of specialized state programs for affordable housing.

The official exchange rate for December 8 is 334.85 KZT / USD.
