Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan may bring trade turnover volume up to $280 million this year, Adham Ikramov, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, said at the trade and economic session of the two countries in Tashkent Dec. 13.

He stressed that taking into account such bilateral trade turnover growth, the tasks set by the presidents of the two countries to bring the trade turnover volume up to $500 million by 2021 are becoming real.

Ikramov also voiced an initiative to make such bilateral trade and economic sessions annual and hold them in December to sum up the annual results and discuss the tasks for the business community of the two countries for the future.

“Today there are all prerequisites for a real increase in trade turnover with Uzbekistan and attracting investments into the country,” he said.

The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed four documents during the business forum.
