Assets of the liquidated holding company "Uzpahtasanoatexport" were valued at more than 829 billion soums, nuz.uz reports with reference to the liquidation commission.

Uzbekistan's State Competition Committee will receive the shares of Uzpahtasanoat JSC at par value with a total value of 522,682 billion sums, JSC Uzpahtayog - 83,550 billion sums and JSC Uzpahtaexport -193,308 billion sums owned by Uzpahtasanoatexpor.

These assets will be transferred to the authorized capital of the newly-created JSC "Uzpahtasanoat" as a state contribution , the report said.

In November, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On measures for cardinal improvement of the cotton industry management system".

Under the document, there was created a single organization responsible for the cotton industry - Uzpahtasanoat - on the basis of the association of Uzpahtasanoat and Uzpahtaexport, and the holding company Uzpahtasanoatexport liquidated.

JSC "Uzpahtasanoat" received property of the reorganized companies, including their state shares, rights and obligations. The number of enterprises included in the structure of "Uzpahtasanoat" have been optimized.

Another change was the transfer of the Cotton Fiber Certification Center "Sifat" under the Cabinet of Ministers to the "Uzstandard" Agency. Up to now, the Sifat Center with more than 1,200 workers and Uzstandart with 1,500 employees performed similar work independently, without organizational subordination.

To strengthen financial discipline in the cotton industry, the Main Department of State Financial Control of the Ministry of Finance was tasked to monitor the reliability of accounting and reporting at ginneries.
