The official dealers of Kazakhstan sold 41,698 cars during 11 months of this year, which is more by 5.9 percent compared to the same indicator of 2016, reads a report issued by the Union of Enterprises of the Automobile Industry of Kazakhstan "KazAvtoProm".
During the reporting period, $999.4 million was spent for purchasing new cars in Kazakhstan, which is 30.4 percent more compared to the same period last year.
The sales in November 2017 hit 4,711 cars and exceeded last year's figure by 10.5 percent. The volume of the market in value terms reached $106.3 million, exceeding the figure for the same period of 2016 by 7.6 percent.
Some 27,414 cars (65.7 percent) of the total number of cars sold in January-November 2017 accounted for the imports, while 14,284 cars (34.3 percent) - domestic production.
The rating of the most popular brands of cars in Kazakhstan in January-November 2017 is headed by Toyota: during the reporting period 8 ,319 cars were sold in the country. The sales of models of the Russian manufacturer Lada amounted to 7,721 units.
The third position was taken by Ravon (Uzbekistan's automaker) with 4,062 cars sold.
In the rating of passenger cars, Toyota Camry (3,098 units), off-road Lada 4x4 (2,628 units) and Ravon Nexia (2,221 units) are in the lead.
