Uzbekistan’s Karakalpakstan intends to implement fruit and vegetable processing projects

Seventy projects for the processing of fruits, vegetables and meat, construction of freezer storages are planned to be implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan in 2018-2019, the Uzbek president’s press-service said.

Seventy projects for the processing of fruits, vegetables and meat, construction of freezer storages are planned to be implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan in 2018-2019, the Uzbek president’s press-service said.

During his visit to the Khodjeyli district, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave some instructions.

The Agro-Industrial Logistics Center is being created in Khodjeyli district. The center covers an area of ​​15.3 hectares. Thus, 5,000 tons of fruits and vegetables are planned to be sorted, processed and packed in 2018.

The innovative projects on processing, storage and export of agricultural products will be implemented there.

Moreover, 250 projects are planned to be implemented within the program for the development of livestock and poultry farming in the Khodjeyli district in 2018-2020. As a result, more than 730 jobs will be created.

Six projects will be implemented in 2018-2020 within the fishery development program.
