Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has instructed to speed up the compilation of the land cadastre, the Turkmenistan TV channel reported Dec. 16.
In late November, it was reported that the draft law “On state land cadastre” was unanimously adopted during a session of the Turkmen parliament.
The draft law establishes the legal, economic and organizational basis for the activity in this sphere.
The state land cadastre is a unified state geo-information system of documented information on the natural, economic and legal regime, categories, quantitative and qualitative characteristics and economic evaluation of lands, their location, as well as distribution of lands among landowners, land users and land tenants.
The data, systematized in the land cadastre, is of great economic importance and is widely used in solving issues related to the rational use of land resources.
