An enterprise for the production of plastic containers was launched in the Yangiarik district of the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan, the national holding company Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.
The project was implemented in accordance with the instructions of the president of Uzbekistan made during the working visit to the Khorezm region in January 2017.
The enterprise began production of boxes for fruits and vegetables, containers for warehouses, containers for liquid. The production is based on processing of 2,500 tons of polyethylene and polypropylene pellets, the statement said.
The entire process is automated, based on high-tech equipment, which was delivered by the Chinese company Xinjiang Huangjinmid-Asia Engineering Technology Co., Ltd in accordance with the deal signed in May 2017.
Uzbekneftegaz notes that the company was put into operation in accordance with the strategic objectives of the oil and gas complex, which stipulates expansion of the range of products manufactured based on deep processing and producing import-substituting products to meet the domestic market.
