The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Hungary increased in 2017, said the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary in Kazakhstan Andresh Barani during a press conference in Astana.
"I would like to emphasize that this year has been very efficient in terms of trade economic cooperation between our countries. In the first 6 months of 2017, we doubled the bilateral turnover and reached $350 million. Therefore, we have every reason to expect a very good result by the end of 2017," said Barani, Kazakh media reported.
In 2016, Hungary was the only trading partner of Kazakhstan with an increase of trade turnover by 16 percent to $188 million.
In the outgoing year, cooperation between the two countries has been intensively developing. One of the main events of 2017, in the context of cooperation between the two countries was the International Specialized Exhibition "Astana EXPO-2017", with active participation of Hungary.
Hungary presented the latest achievements in the field of "green" technologies in its pavilion during the event. The Hungarian pavilion was visited by about 300,000 people, during the exhibition.
