Uzbek, Chinese law companies agree on joint protection of business interests

Uzbek and Chinese leading law firms have reached an agreement to represent mutual interests in Uzbekistan and China, protect the rights and interests of Chinese investors in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Justice Ministry said in a message Dec. 30.

According to the message, the agreement was reached during the visit of the delegation of the Uzbek Justice Ministry to China in December.

Among the Uzbek abovementioned companies are GRATA International, Dentons, Prae Legal, Sherdav Himoya, while Chinese companies - Dacheng, Zhong Lun and SG & Co. PRC Lawyers.

During the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Advocates of Uzbekistan and the Shanghai Bar Association.

Meanwhile, the Chinese side held workshops at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Training Center.

The Chinese side expressed readiness to implement joint projects to study Uzbekistan's investment legislation and develop proposals for its improvement, relying on its own experience of economic development.
