The number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 14.38 percent in 2017 as compared to 2016, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend Jan. 23.
TOBB said that in total, 72,871 companies were registered in Turkey in 2017, 912 of which are cooperatives.
“The number of cooperatives registered in Turkey increased by 18.29 percent in 2017 as compared to 2016,” said the Union.
The number of closed companies stood at 13,517 in Turkey in 2017 that is by 22.46 percent more than in 2016, according to TOBB.
“In 2017, 6,731 companies with foreign capital were registered in Turkey,” added the Union.
