Azerbaijan’s direct investments in the Turkish economy amounted to $1.9 billion in 2017, said the report of the Central Bank of Turkey.
This is while in 2016, Azerbaijan’s direct investments in the Turkish economy amounted to $661 million, according to the report.
In 2017, foreign direct investments in the Turkish economy totaled $7.43 billion.
“In 2017, direct investments by the EU member countries in Turkey amounted to $4.9 billion, which is 2.4 percent more than in 2016,” the report said.
In 2017, Azerbaijan ranked first in terms of direct investments’ value in Turkey. The Netherlands ranked second with investments worth $1.7 billion, and Spain ranked third ($1.4 billion).
