In 2017, Turkey revoked licenses of 900 construction companies issued for a period of five years, the Turkish Environment and Urban Planning Ministry told Trend on March 5.
The ministry said the reason for cancellation of licenses is the violation of safety standards, as well as damage caused to the environment as a result of construction work.
There are also foreign companies among those with canceled licenses.
According to the Environment and Urban Planning Ministry, the licenses were issued for construction of 54,203 facilities with a total cost of 78.9 billion liras.
