Ashgabat, Abu Dhabi to join efforts in countering drug trafficking

Turkmenistan and the UAE signed an agreement in Abu Dhabi on countering terrorism, organized crime, trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, as well as other types of crimes, the Turkmenistan State News Agency reported.
The parties also signed agreements on extradition and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases.
An agreement was also signed between the governments of the two countries on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports.
The documents were signed after the talks in the UAE capital between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
