Inflation rate in Kazakhstan remains stable

Inflation rate in Kazakhstan in March 2018 amounted to 0.5 percent compared to the previous month and 1.8 percent compared to January 2018, the Committee for Statistics under the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message.

In March 2018, the prices for food products increased 0.8 percent, for non-food products - 0.5 percent.

Prices of paid services for the population went up by 0.2 percent in the mentioned period.

From early 2018 to April 1, prices for food products have increased by 2.2 percent, for non-food products - by 1.3 percent and for paid services - by 1.7 percent.

The increase in prices for vehicles amounted to 1.9 percent, pharmaceutical products - 1.8 percent, goods for personal use – 1.7 percent, household appliances - 1.6 percent, glass and ceramic products – 1.4 percent, textiles – 1.3 percent, cleaning products - 1.2 percent, furniture and household goods - 1.1 percent, clothes, footwear and books - 1 percent.

The price of gasoline went up 2.2 percent, liquefied gas in cylinders - 1.7 percent, diesel fuel - 1.3 percent, coal - 0.5 percent.
