Ambassador of Belarus Oleg Tabanyukhov met with the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources of Turkmenistan, Ovezmyrad Esenmyradov in Ashgabat, the Belarusian embassy said in a message April 10.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current directions of development of cooperation in the agrarian sphere, including the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment, technology in animal husbandry and plant growing on the production, storage and processing of agricultural products.
The parties showed high interest in the participation of manufacturers of products for the agricultural complex in exhibitions and conferences held annually in Turkmenistan and Belarus, according to the message.
Belarusian producers will take part in the International Exhibition and Fair and the International Scientific Conference of Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association in Ashgabat in April 2018, and Turkmen farmers plan to participate in the Belagro 2018 exhibition in June 2018.
A business forum was held in the Turkmen capital organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Belarus about a year ago. Belarus then offered its services in the sphere of supplies and organization of high-technology equipment production, expressing interest in Turkmen textiles, agricultural and industrial products, deepening cooperation in the production of food products.
Turkmenistan became a reliable friend and strategic partner for Belarus in Central Asia, said the January message of Belarusian Ambassador Oleg Tabanyukhov, issued on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
