Solar power plant to be constructed in South Kazakhstan

Construction of the first solar power plant with a capacity of 40 mW will take place in South Kazakhstan Region in 2018, the head of the Baidibek district of the region Bakhytbek Tanaguzov said, Kazakh media outlets reported.
Foreign companies also plan to build solar power plants with capacities of 100 and 210 mW in South Kazakhstan.
The regional executive body also supports the enterprises producing and processing meat and milk in the region.
In 2017, the gross regional product of South Kazakhstan amounted to 34.8 billion tenge. Budget revenues of the region amounted to 15.4 billion tenge.
Moreover, last year the industrial enterprises of the region produced goods worth more than 3.1 billion tenge.
