Deputy Foreign Trade Minister of Uzbekistan Sahib Saifnazarov took part in the conference on trade financing organized jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on April 18, the press service of the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan reported on April 21.
According to the information, the deputy minister underlined the important role of the international financial institutions in the process of modernization and diversification of the country's economy.
Saifnazarov also acquainted the conference participants with the ongoing reforms aimed at further liberalizing the state economy.
The parties got acquainted with the development of trade financing in the Central Asian states and the world and discussed the existing problems in the financial services sector.
The conference was attended by representatives of international and national financial institutions, as well as other involved agencies and organizations.
