Registrations from Central Asian companies in Turkey down

In March 2018, 31 companies with capital from Central Asian States (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) were registered in Turkey, which is four companies less than in the corresponding month of 2017, Trend was told in the Chamber of Commerce of Turkey (TOBB).

TOBB said the total capital of the companies from Central Asia registered in March 2018 amounted to 2.201 million Turkish liras, while the same figure in March 2017 amounted to 2.389 million Turkish liras.

According to TOBB, in March 2018, 9 Turkmen companies with capital of 752,000 Turkish liras, 3 Kyrgyzstani companies with capital of 145,000 Turkish liras, 9 companies from Uzbekistan with capital of 140,000 Turkish liras, 8 Kazakh companies with capital of 1.054 million Turkish liras, as well as 2 companies from Tajikistan with capital of 11.5 thousand Turkish liras were registered in Turkey.

"At the end of March 2018, a total of 10,888 companies were registered in Turkey, which is 22.9 percent more than in March 2017," TOBB said.

Recall that in 2017, 58 422 foreign companies were registered in Turkey.

At the end of 2017, the number of registered German companies amounted to 428, Syrian - 256, Iranian - 231, Russian - 146. The rest of the companies fell to the share of other countries.

The official exchange rate as of April 23 is 4.0405 TL/USD.
