AzerGold announces planned export volumes for 2018 (Exclusive)

By the end of 2018, the state company AzerGold plans to export an additional 32.3 thousand ounces of gold and 63.2 thousand ounces of silver, Chairman of the Board Zakir Ibrahimov said in an exclusive interview to Trend.

April 2018 marks a year since commencement of the first export of domestic precious metals, implemented by AzerGold Company.

As Ibragimov noted, during this time 73.4 thousand ounces of gold and 102.5 thousand ounces of silver were exported. At the same time, the chairman of the board said, the total revenue from the sale of precious metals exceeded 160 million manats.

Ibrahimov also addressed the work done by AzerGold until today. In particular, the Chairman of the Board noted that as a result of the technical audit carried out by the international consulting company, construction and restoration work was carried out at the Chovdar field in Dashkasan rayon, the operation of the field was restored, the export of non-ferrous metals was established.

"It should be noted that mining factories send precious metals to specialized refineries, where ingots are produced on the basis of Good Delivery standard (Reliable delivery). In turn, refining companies apply a special legal expertise and analysis procedure for mining companies before accepting metals for refining. The activities of the AzerGold was analyzed by world-renowned refining companies based on appropriate criteria, whereby the company obtained a positive conclusion", - said the Chairman of the Board of ZAO.

CJSC AzerGold which started its activity in July 2016, is engaged in studying, research, exploration, management of deposits of precious and non-ferrous metals, their extraction, processing and sale, and also application in this sphere of new technologies, improvement of material and technical base and performance of other works connected with development of this area.

In April 2017 AzerGold signed a contract with world-famous Swiss company Argor-Heraeus SA for precious metals refining.
