Azerbaijan to carry out geological research, re-evaluate promising areas

In 2022, geological studies will be conducted at the Dagkesaman prospective site in Azerbaijan to reveal new gold deposits, Zakir Ibrahimov, chairman of board of AzerGold CJSC, said in an exclusive interview with Trend.

He said that three copper-porphyry deposits are located on this site.

"Furthermore, it is planned re-evaluate the Kyuryakchay site, which is considered promising for availability of accumulations of gold placers, numerous occurrences and mineralization points, based on international standards, " Ibrahimov said.

He further stressed that the economic significance of the Garadagh site in the Shamkir region also increased amid rising copper prices in the world markets.

AzerGold CJSC launched its activity in July 2016. The company is engaged in research and exploration of deposits of precious and non-ferrous metals, their extraction, processing and sale, application of new technologies in this sphere, improvement of material and technical base and performance of other work connected with development of this area.
