The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Spanish city of Barcelona held a presentation on the economic potential of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek news agency Jahon reported.
The delegation of Uzbekistan briefed the Spanish colleagues on business conditions in the country, such as legal guarantees, existing political and economic stability, and favorable geographical location of the country.
Representatives of the city administration and business circles of the region, as well as local journalists participated in the event.
Spanish businessmen showed interest in the free economic zones of Uzbekistan, such as Jizzakh, Navoi, Kokand, Gijuvan, Hazarasp, Angren and Urgut.
European businessmen consider such presentations to create new opportunities for business activity. For many, Uzbekistan is a new business direction, and the experience of such Spanish companies as Maxam and Talgo, which are actively working with the country, is extremely useful in this regard.
