Kazakhstan’s industrialization map to be expanded

Kazakhstan’s industrialization map for 2015-2019, which currently includes 28 projects, will be expanded in near future, Minister of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek said at the meeting of the Commission for Industrial Development of Kazakhstan, according to the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

"The implementation period of 22 projects worth 6.7 trillion tenges has already been approved. Projects will entail the creation of 19,800 permanent jobs. The remaining 6 out of 28 mentioned projects are under consideration," Kasymbek said.

The minister stressed that 6 projects worth 2.2 trillion tenges were put into operation within the framework of the industrialization map, and 4,000 jobs were created.

"We also intend to include three new projects worth 456.2 billion tenges with the creation of more than 1,200 permanent jobs. The launch of these projects is planned for 2017-2021," Kasymbek said.

The officials also discussed the issues of actualization and development of a new list of projects for the industrialization map.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of instructions to the responsible state bodies on updating the Industrialization Map for 2015-2019.
