Turkish citizens seeking job in Uzbekistan grow in number

A total of 249 Turkish citizens arrived in Uzbekistan through the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) in January to April 2018, which is by 242 people more compared to the same period in 2017, ISKUR told Trend on May 15.

Eighty-nine Turkish citizens visited Kazakhstan through the Employment Agency in this period, which is 13.59 percent less compared to the same period in 2017.

"During the period, only one Turkish citizen visited Kyrgyzstan through ISKUR, which is 50 percent less compared to the same period in 2017," the agency said.

As many as 107 Turkish citizens arrived in Turkmenistan through the Employment Agency in January-April 2018, which is 71.69 percent less compared to the same period in 2017.

“Thus, 446 Turkish citizens visited countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan),” the Employment Agency said.

Some 8,073 Turkish citizens were provided with work abroad through the Employment Agency in the first four months of 2018, which is by 18.79 percent more compared to the same period in 2017.

The number of unemployed people in Turkey amounted to 2.450 million in April 2018.
