Uzbekistan is aimed at more intensive cooperation of Uzbek and Georgian businessmen, Sputnik Georgia reported citing Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Utkir Butaev.

He noted that the authorities of the republic have certain expectations from the joint Uzbek-Georgian business forum that was held in Tbilisi.

“Uzbekistan needs Georgian technologies for development of wine-making and a deeper relationship in the tourism sphere. Georgia, in turn, will be able to develop textile companies using raw materials from Uzbekistan,” Butaev said.

On May 15, the first Georgian-Uzbek business forum took place in Tbilisi, which was attended by representatives of 12 major Uzbek and tens of Georgian companies, as well as representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries. The parties discussed development of the bilateral business relations.
