The Chinese "Qifeng New Material Ltd." company plans to implement a major project in Kazakhstan, by investing in the construction of a factory for the production of pulp and paper from reed, the press service f Kazakhstan's "Kazakh Invest" company said.
The report said "Kazakh Invest" Chairman of the Board Saparbek Tuyakbayev held a meeting with the Director of "Qifeng New Material Ltd." Lee Hufeng.
The message said it is planned to gradually invest some $320 million in the project. In case of implementation, the volume of pulp and paper production from reeds will be 200,000 tons per year.
It is planned that the factory will employ more than 2,000 people. The environmental technology of bleaching paper without chlorine-marked ECF (Elementary Chlorine Free) will be applied there.
Further, at the meeting, the representatives of "Qifeng New Material Ltd." got acquainted with investment preferences for foreign companies. An agreement was reached to visit a number of regions together with representatives of "Kazakh Invest", to select the location for the plant.
"Qifeng New Material Ltd." Company is the world's largest manufacturer of semi-finished decorative paper and non-woven wallpaper. Its products are exported to more than 30 countries. It has 212 national patents and 18 patents for key inventions.
