The Swiss Rieter Machines & Systems may participate in projects implemented in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uztekstilprom association stated on May 24 referring to the meeting between representatives of the Uztekstilprom and General Manager of the Rieter Machines & Systems Jan Siebert and Vice-President of the Rieter AG Reto Thom.

The production capacities of Rieter Uzbekistan allow producing a complete chain of equipment from processing of cotton fiber to production of yarn. Large projects in the textile industry of Uzbekistan have been implemented with participation of the Rieter AG.

In line with the localization and import optimization program, an $11-million project in the textile machinery production sphere was implemented jointly with Rieter AG, making Uzbekistan one of the countries producing spinning equipment.

Reto Thom said that Rieter AG is constantly working on improving the technologies based on the needs of the partners, and the concern will supply the latest model of the Airjet spinning equipment to Uzbekistan in August 2018. After implementation of this project, the Uzbek textile industry will be able to compete with the leading producers of finished products from synthetic fiber.

Airjet is a fully automatic aerodynamic spinning machine of a new design with a production speed of 500 meters per minute, which ensures processing of polyester fiber, thus, expanding the field of application of the machine (viscose, blends with cotton and chemical fiber). The system is equipped with a special yarn control device, which has been modified for aerodynamic spinning applications.

Ian Siebert, in turn, emphasized dynamic development of the textile industry in Uzbekistan in recent years.

Head of the Rieter Machines & Systems announced readiness to develop a special training program for young and talented engineers from Uzbekistan at the company's facilities in Switzerland, Germany, China, India and Uzbekistan.

Earlier, the training of personnel for the textile industry was also discussed with the Turkish Dilmenler company during the visit of the delegation of the Uztekstilprom association to Istanbul in April 2018.
