About a third of all the vehicles manufactured at the joint French-Uzbek enterprise Uzbekistan Peugeot Citroen Automotive will be supplied abroad, the senior officials of Jizzak FEZ told Trend June 6.
The activity of the enterprise on the territory of the FEZ will be launched in December 2018. The total cost of the project for the production of minibuses and commercial passenger vehicles will be $133.3 million, of which $60 million is allocated by the European Investment Bank.
The project is planned to produce up to 10,000 units of vehicles per year with a total cost of $170 million, 30 percent of the vehicles will be exported to Russia, CIS, Iran and France. Production will be localized by 50 percent, and 600 jobs will be created at the enterprise.
At the first stage, the company will produce two models: the Peugeot Boxer and the Peugeot Expert. There are 10-12 options of modifications for the first model, and seven modifications - for the second one.
