Kazakhstan works on attraction of investments to renewable energy sector

Kazakhstan plans to open Green Bridge Institute, which will deal with the issues of green energy facilities in the country, Rapil Zhoshybayev, the head of the international center for green technologies and investment projects said at the Second Summit on Renewable Energy in Astana, Kazakh media outlets reported.

"The Green Bridge Institute will include a research center, an energy saving center, a green technology park, an education center," Zhoshybayev said.

He added that the institute will also cooperate with the international organizations, in order to attract investments in renewable energy sector of Kazakhstan.

"The Green Bridge Institute will cooperate with such international organizations as UNDP, the World Bank, the European Commission, EBRD, OSCE, GEF, ADB, USAID, as well as the Renewable Energy Association of Kazakhstan and the Environmental Association organizations of Kazakhstan, with which our Center closely cooperates," Zhoshybayev said.
